What are seeds?

Seeds are special codes that define the Minecraft landscape. If you make two worlds with the same seed, they will both be exactly the same. Even if you make 20, they are all the same.

I found a cool world, but I don't know the seed! How can I get it?

Say /seed in-game to get the world seed. You need 1.3 or higher.
